Wisdom or Wackiness?

Welcome to the first edition of Wisdom or Wackiness, the game where one raver posts a questionable quotation and every raver critiques it, labeling as Wisdom, Wackiness, or Both.

Have a go at this one:

“All human actions have one or more of these seven causes: chance, nature, compulsion, habit, reason, passion, and desire.” – Aristotle (384-322 BC)

Both.

What about "fear"? Would this fall under compulsion?

What about sleepwalking? Compulsion?

What about "charity"? Would this be considered passion or maybe desire?

Yes, I'm leaning Both as well.

Sleepwalking would probably fall under either nature or compulsion. Charity would fall under nature, habit, reason, or desire depending on the motives.

Not so sure about fear. Perhaps this is another category.

Compulsion and desire seem almost like catchall categories.
