I don't think we would choose God even after one hundred years in hell.

Pause to recover from that last sentence.

If I was an enemy of God from birth, why would I change after I was punished by Him after death?

Really.

I agree. That was the most thought-provoking elemtent of C.S. Lewis' "Great Divorce." We didn't just willingly reject God, we willingly chose hell.
